Piedmont fashion photographer Leon Saperstein opens studio in Oakland
After working in Paris, France for over a decade, internationally renowned fashion photographer Leon Saperstein has moved back home to the Bay Area with his wife, former model and now business partner, Sunny. Their move to Piedmont was motivated by their dreams of raising a family, and starting their family business, Studio-FAB (Fashion, Art, Beauty).
The studio, located near Oakland City Hall at 120 Frank H Ogawa Plaza, will have is grand opening this Sunday, November 19th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The even will be free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Studio-FAB was founded in 2015 at an earlier location, offering an array of services, including photography and video work for print ads, commercials, music videos, packaging, branding, websites, family, corporate and senior portraits, weddings, special events, and private and group photography workshops and classes.
Founder Leon Saperstein has been photographing fashion working with internationally renowned brands publications since 1999. His client list includes magazines like Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Cosmopolitan - and brands like Versace, Hermes, and Chanel, just to name a few. He specializes in taking fabulous photos of people, and is very good at helping them feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, creating a unique and memorable photography experience for all his clients.
The new 900 square foot space features high ceilings, Boudoir style chaise lounges, a stage, and an open layout with a welcoming, modern feel. This multi-use, fully equipped production studio also hosts numerous events, including fashion shows, pop-up art shows, bridal showers, and workshops for aspiring photographers.
